A physically well-built player, not particularly quick over short distances; he has good pace over longer distances. He plays at left-back, is technically sound and is left-footed; he doesn’t use his right foot much. Under pressure, he handles the situation reasonably well, although he isn’t always precise. He is strong going forward, gets involved in attacks and possesses good dribbling and crossing ability. He’s a nuisance when he gets up to speed. Good shot, though not a great header. Defensively, he is aggressive but not always precise in his positioning; he gets drawn towards the ball and leaves his area exposed. Can be beaten in one-on-one situations; struggles with changes of direction and is very hard in the tackle.
