A player with a decent physique, slow over short distances but developing good progression over longer distances. In his club, he plays as a central midfielder or even an attacking midfielder, while in the national team he is used as a technically skilled fifth man; left-footed, he does not use his right foot much, he is comfortable under pressure, has good long passes and shots, and is present in the box to finish off moves; dangerous from free kicks; not great in the aerial game. He struggles more in defensive phase, where he is not very attentive and quick to react to loose balls; he closes down well but not always at the right time and is too impetuous, risking being dribbled past; he has great difficulty against quick opponents and when they change direction. He is more of an attacking player than a defensive one.
