Paddy McNair

Physically strong player, slow over short distances, normal acceleration and speed. Plays central defender, not very technically gifted; right-footed, uses his left foot very little; under pressure, he relies on simple moves and shows some awkwardness when attacked. Long throw, very dangerous in the air. In defence, he closes down well if the opponent has his back to goal but struggles when faced with speed and changes of direction. He has a big physical presence; with the ball exposed, he is not quick to break away and often does so too late.
