A very physically strong player, not very quick over short distances; he has good progression over long distances. He plays central defender; technically average; right-footed, he doesn't use his left foot much; under pressure, he also tries to get away with the ball at his feet, taking a few risks, and in general he doesn't always have good ball control. He has a good long throw; very dangerous in the aerial game. He is aggressive in defensive phase but does not always time his challenges well; he struggles when he has to move quickly; he is tough in the tackle but again does not always time his challenges well, risking fouls even in the penalty area.
