He steps out on centred balls where he should not, and is inconsistent.

He has many problems with shots from outside the penalty area, where he reacts very late. Especially there he has a problem, if he comes back towards the goal after an action, as if he does not know what position he has. In 1v1 situations he is reckless, turns around and is slow to reduce the space between himself and the player who is kicking.
